Happy new year!! (Yeah, I know it’s 1 day late…) Anyway, 2013 has been the best year in my whole life and it has been a great year for Kpop! So many new groups debuting and so many great comebacks!
I’m going to list my top favourite 10 boy groups songs in this post, and I think I will post “top 10 girl Group songs” tomorrow ^^
AlphaBAT – AB City
AB City is their first Single and I absolutely love it!! I love how the song seems like an “Badass” song in the beginning but then J:eta comes with his Aegyo and sings “ABCDEFG” , and yes, I fell for him and his aegyo in the MV..
Teen Top – Rocking
Even though they released 2 other songs this year Rocking beats them all, it’s my second favourite song from them! Crazy is their best song, but Rocking almost knocks it down… It has the best beat and party feeling to it and I love the choreography in the Music video. It’s simple and funny.
VIXX – Hyde
What can I say? It’s definitely one of the best songs of 2013. I love the dark concepts that VIXX is Always experimenting with and the Jekyll and Hyde concept is on of the best concepts of all time. Wearing Black to express the evil and White to express the good. The dance choreography really shows these 2 sides of one person and the lyrics makes up to it.
SHINee – Everybody
2013 was a great year for SHINee with many comebacks but the best comeback must be Everybody. I love how the dubstep fits in to the Music and the choreography is so cool! They literally threw Taemin up in the air haha. I love the dark colours mixed with the SHINee colour and the uniforms they are wearing *___*
I really liked Dream Girl and Why so seroius but Everybody has something special that beats those 2 songs..
100 % – Want U back
First time I heard this song was when my friend showed the MV for me and I didn’t like it at all but after some days I found myself humming on the song and I started to love the song. As an 100% fan from their debut days I already knew that they had powerful vocals and in this song it really shows and it makes the song even more perfect. I love the dance and the “party” feeling of the sound.
B.A.P – One Shot
One Shot is definitely B.A.P’s best song of all time. It has meaningful lyrics and the MV concept makes up to it. I cried alot when watching this MV like the most fans did but somehow it made the song more special. One thing I always loves about B.A.P is that their sound is “badass” but in every song there is also a “kinder” side to the sound, I don’t know if that was an good explaining but I think you know what I mean haha.
EXO – Growl
“The High School concept” as I call it, is the thing I like the most about this MV apart from the choreography. It’s filmed in “one cut” style and the song is one of the best songs from EXO.
Boyfriend – I Yah
Also an “High School concept” wich I totally fell for this year thanks to Boyfriend and EXO. But this has more darker feel to it and ever since Boyfriend released Janus and I Yah I have been a fan of them. Iyah gives me the feeling of being proud over myself in some strange way and the song always makes me feel better if i’m feeling down.
Beast – Shadow
And again, a darker MV. Haha i’m really into this kind of concepts… Beast is a group that I have listened to for a very very long time and I have seen them grow up trough the years and Shadow showed a more “grown up” side of them. Shadow is a song I can listen to when i’m sad or stressed out and it always helps me to feel better.
VIXX – On and On
This is seriously the best song of 2013 and it’s also one of the best Kpop songs out there. It only took me the first 30 seconds of this song to fall for it. The concept, the choreography, the makeup, the beat and the vampire look. SERIOUSLY, i’m a sucker for this kind of things… I love vampires *__* Ever since I heard the song for the first time I always dreamt of seeing the performance live one day and the dream came true! I saw VIXX live in Sweden and they performed with On and On, so this song really means alot to me. ❤
